CHARLESTON, W.Va.— Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council kicked off the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season, a time when Girl Scouts hone their entrepreneurial skills as they find new and inventive ways to sell cookies on Thursday, Jan. 9.
With the much-anticipated cookie season back in full swing, cookie lovers can rejoice as they indulge in the classic cookie lineup. The 2025 season will provide the full spread of highly sought after cookie flavors, including Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs and more.
At the close of the 2025 cookie season, the beloved Girl Scout S’mores cookie flavor will be retired. Girl Scout S’mores enthusiasts can purchase the last of these sweet treats by contacting a Girl Scout for their Digital Cookie online sales link, or by visiting https://girlscouts.info/cookies.
Starting this season, each box of Girl Scout Cookies will cost $6.00 to ensure more girls have an opportunity to benefit from local and national programming.
When girls participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the largest entrepreneurial program in the world, they acquire a host of invaluable entrepreneurial skills, including goal setting, money management, decision-making, people skills and business ethics.
Each box of cookies sold allows Girl Scouts to develop an inextinguishable entrepreneurial spirit, gaining courage, confidence and character as they conquer new feats and embark on new adventures.
"Each of our Girl Scouts is looking to change the world, and through the Girl Scout Cookie Sale, you can help make it happen," said Beth Casey, CEO for the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council.
"Our girls have big goals to travel, take on service projects and help their communities - and you can fuel their dreams by ordering delicious cookies to enjoy. All the while, they're learning key skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, business ethics and people skills."
Locally, 55% of cookie proceeds go towards council-sponsored programming and events, while 21% funds the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and 24% covers Girl Scout Cookie-related costs and delivery fees.
Girl Scout Cookie season is recognized nationally from Jan. through April, but local timing varies; please support your local Girl Scouts now by ordering before the conclusion of initial orders on Saturday, Feb. 8. Cookie Booth Sales are expected to begin at the end of Feb.
