How early can I make a reservation?
Our camp properties open for reservations one year ahead of the reservation date. You can keep making reservations up to three weeks before you want to camp.
Are camps open for use all year?
Absolutely! All of our camp properties are open the full year. During the coldest months, certain sections of camp may be closed for safety and preservation of equipment.
Do you rent your camps to outside groups (non-Girl Scouts)?
Yes. Nonprofits and other organizations can use our camp properties.
How many people does each unit hold?
It depends on the unit. Each unit and building’s capacity is determined by the number of people that unit will sleep and the number of beds in the unit. We ask that you do not exceed this capacity, as it is designed with safety in mind.
Can we sleep in the dining hall or lodge?
Absolutely! You will need one adult volunteer who has taken the self-study called Camping In. After completing that self-study, you must turn in a request for certification.
In addition, an adult with your troop/group will need to have a current First Aid/CPR certification.
All adults staying overnight with the troop/group must have a current Girl Scout membership and background check on file with the council.
Extra insurance must be taken out for any non-registered children that you might allow to participate in your camping experience.
Are there special requirements to stay overnight in a tent or half-tent unit?
You will need is one adult volunteer who has taken the self-study called Camping In. After completing that self-study, you must turn in a request for certification. You will also need to have an adult who has taken Camping Out. These courses are generally offered in the spring and summer.

When is my reservation processed?
Reservations are processed online in the order they are received. As soon as you pay your deposit, the units and activities you reserved can no longer be rented by another party.
What if I need to change my reservation?
Reservations can be changed by the person who created until three weeks from the reservation date. To change a reservation, contact our customer care team at (304) 345-7722.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Reservations canceled 30 days or more before the reservation date will receive a full refund. Reservations canceled less than 30 days before the reservation date will not receive a refund. To cancel a reservation contact our Customer Care team at (304) 345-7722.
What do I need to do in order to use the fire pit at the Girl Zone?
If one adult has taken the Camping Out training, then you are good to go and build a fire. If not, an adult from your troop or group can complete the self-study called Fire Building Safety and submit a request for certification.
