Give the Gift of Cookies
For many years, Girl Scouts across the country have used Girl Scout Cookies to show their appreciation for those in uniform or to support those in need. Customers are given the opportunity to purchase cookies to donate to our Gift of Caring Program with Black Diamond. Girl Scouts of Black Diamond has chosen the West Virginia Gold Star Mothers Association and the West Virginia National Guard Foundation as the council-sponsored organizations. Some troops may choose their own charitable organization within their community.
The Girl Scouts of Black Diamond partners with the West Virginia Gold Star Mothers Association, a service organization of women who have lost sons and daughters in the military, and the West Virginia National Guard Foundation to distribute cookies to the military. They distribute to VA hospitals, nursing homes, disabled and paralyzed veterans and more.
