This winter, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors and their adult
volunteers are invited to take on an exhilarating cave diving and
spelunking challenge deep within Lost World Caverns! This guided,
hands-on adventure takes you into the darker, tighter, muddier
sections of the caverns- perfect for older Girl Scouts ready for a
true high-adventure experience. You'll learn the basics of safe
caving, navigate unique underground terrain, and discover formations
few visitors ever get to see up close.
The fee includes
all gear- helmets, lights, ropes, etc., and lunch and snacks needed
along the way.
What to know about this event:
1. This is a physically demanding activity suitable for
Cadettes and older.
2. Dress for adventure-long sleeves, pants
you don't mind getting dirty, and sturdy footwear.
3. Cavern
temperatures remain a steady 65°F year-round, but you will get
muddy!
4. Adult volunteers attending should be prepared to
participate alongside the girls.
5. This is a four-hour deep
cave dive adventure.
6. This experience is open to Juniors who are 10 years old by the
date of the event and older Girl Scouts.
Push your

Important to Know Before You Go
- Please plan for your Girl Scout to attend the entire event. We are unable to issue refunds for partial event attendance.
- Does your Girl Scout need additional support or assistance? Please use the "Special Circumstances" box to share with us what we can do to make this day comfortable and enjoyable for your Girl Scout!
- This is NOT a drop off event! Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Staff and Volunteers will be on site but will not be responsible for the safety or oversight of children in attendance. Staff from Lost World Caverns will lead this experience. Attending adult does not have to go spelunking with their Girl Scout, however we do suggest you remain on site.
- New flex pay option from Girl Scouts of Black Diamond- Register for events with $5 up front! Make payments on your event as you are able to up until 11:59pm Friday, January 23, 2026. Once registered for this event, you are responsible for registration fees regardless as to whether you attend unless you cancel you no later than Monday, January 26, 2026 at 11:59pm. All cancelation requests must be emailed to tricia.roblee@bdgsc.org.
