Camping Out Training - Pipestem State Park
Camping Out Training is a required overnight training for troop and Service Unit volunteers who plan to take Girl Scouts camping outdoors overnight. This hands-on experience builds on Camping In skills and prepares volunteers to safely lead outdoor overnight experiences such as tent camping, platform tents, and other outdoor sleeping arrangements. Participants will learn about outdoor safety, site selection, meal planning, gear, weather preparedness, Girl Scout outdoor progressions, and age-appropriate camping experiences. Upon successful completion, volunteers will be authorized to plan and lead overnight outdoor camping trips in accordance with Girl Scouts of Black Diamond safety guidelines.
Important to Know Before You Go:
- Please plan to attend the entire event. We are unable to issue refunds for partial event attendance.
- New flex pay option from Girl Scouts of Black Diamond- Register for events with $0 up front! Make payments on your event as you are able to up until 11:59pm Friday, May 1st, 2026. Once registered for this event, you are responsible for registration fees regardless as to whether you attend unless you cancel you no later than Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 at 11:59pm.
