Get ready for a weekend of hoops, campfires, and Girl Scout fun at
our Cardinal-themed Troop Camp Weekend! Enjoy a relaxed, troop-led
getaway where you set your own pace and choose your own adventures.
With meals provided, leaders and girls can focus on what matters most-
making memories! Troops will have access to a variety of classic camp
activities such as games, crafts, outdoor exploration and time
together around the fire. The highlight of the weekend is a special
field trip to Wheeling University for Girl Scout Night at the Cardinal
Women's Basketball Game, with a 2:00 PM tip-off. Cheer on the
Cardinals, show your Girl Scout spirit and enjoy a high-energy
experience your troop won't forget.
This camp is also a
fantastic opportunity for troops who are new to the camping process or
who do not yet have a Camp-Trained adult. Throughout the weekend,
leaders will gain insight into how to plan a troop camp- meals,
safety, pacing, activity planning, and more- so they feel confident
and prepared when they later add a Camp-Trained volunteer to their
troop. Whether you're here to learn, relax, cheer, or create, this
weekend is the perfect blend of hands-on troop camping practice and
Girl Scout adventure.
Important to Know Before You Go
* Please plan for your Girl Scout to attend the entire event. We are unable to issue refunds for partial event attendance.
* Does your Girl Scout need additional support or assistance? Please use the "Special Circumstances" box to share with us what we can do to make this day comfortable and enjoyable for your Girl Scout!
* This is NOT a drop off event! Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Staff and Volunteers will be on site but will not be responsible for the safety or oversight of children in attendance. Please plan for your Girl Scout to attend with a responsible adult.
* New flex pay option from Girl Scouts of Black Diamond- Register for events with $0 up front! Make payments on your event as you are able to up until 11:59pm Friday, February 20th, 2026. Once registered for this event, you are responsible for registration fees regardless as to whether you attend unless you cancel you no later than Friday, February 20th, 2026 at 11:59pm. All cancelation requests must be emailed to tricia.roblee@bdgsc.org
