We broke the Girl Scout record (again!) in 2025- Let's do it again in 2026! Gather your Girl Scout sisters and head to the West Virginia State Capitol for Girl Scout Day at the West Virginia Legislature! Girl Scouts who attend will complete one Life Skills Badge(see below), will meet with elected officials from across the state, will receive a tour of the Capitol Building and will have the opportunity to explore the West Virginia Culture Center. See you there, Girl Scout!

Important to Know Before You Go
- Please plan for your Girl Scout to attend the entire event. We are unable to issue refunds for partial day attendance.
- Please pack a lunch or plan to purchase lunch at the event. There is a cafeteria on the State Capitol campus, as well as restaurants nearby within walking distance.
- A school excuse will be provided to those who attend. Please understand it is up to the school your Girl Scout attends as to whether they will excuse this day or not. Girl Scouts of Black Diamond is working with school officials to find a solution to this.
- To ensure we stay within the capacity limits of the building setforth by the Fire Marshal, please register everyone who plans to attend this event- adults included.
- Does your Girl Scout need additional support or assistance? Please use the "Special Circumstances" box to share with us what we can do to make this day comfortable and enjoyable for your Girl Scout!
- This is NOT a drop off event! We will have Girl Scout Staff and Volunteers on hand to supervise and assist Girl Scouts, however Girl Scouts do need a trusted adult to attend this event and remain with them throughout the day.
- New flex pay option from Girl Scouts of Black Diamond- Register for events with $0 up front! Make payments on your event as you are able to up until 11:59pm Friday, February 7, 2025. Once registered for this event, you are responsible for registration fees regardless as to whether you attend unless you cancel you no later than Monday, February 17, 2025 at 11:59pm. All cancelation requests must be emailed to cate.phillips@bdgsc.org.
