Kim LaCount

Retail Manager
Kim LaCount is the Retail Manager for the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council and is based out of the council headquarters in Charleston, WV.  Kim’s primary function is to manage both the Charleston and Wheeling shops.  She is also responsible for the purchasing for both shops.

Kim has a BA in English with a concentration in Retail Management.  She came to WV as a manager for Kaufmann’s Department Store.  She decided that she liked Charleston better than Kaufmann’s and switched to Stone & Thomas where she was the buyer of Junior Sportswear for 8 years.  Kim left retailing to become a stay at home Mom.  As she rejoined the world of the employed she was a substitute teacher for Kanawha County and then returned to retailing as the manger for the Lands End shop at Sears.  As the Retail Manager for the Girl Scouts, she has found a home where friendly retail exists.

As the mother of two boys, Girl Scouts allows Kim to “get her girl fix.”

Tina Chambers

Receptionist/Secretary/Shop Assistant
Tina Chambers is the Receptionist/Secretary/Shop for Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council that is based out of the Northern Resource Center in Wheeling, WV.  Tina’s primary function is to manage the Girl Scout Shop along with receptionist/secretary duties for the Northern Resource Center.

She has 20 years of experience working with Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council.  Prior to joining GSBDC, Tina worked 10 years at the AAA as a Domestic Travel Agent and Manager of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.  She also worked 3 years at Picoma Industries as a Switch Board Operator and Billing Clerk and 2 years at Briggs Photography as a Receptionist.

In her spare time, Tina loves music, working in her garden, reading, water aerobics, and traveling.  Don’t be surprised to see her in Myrtle Beach with her nose in a book from Danielle Steele or Nora Roberts listening to Alabama or Neil Young.
