There are now several ways (we call them pathways) for you to get involved in Girl Scouting, simply by matching your expertise, skills, interests, and life experiences to the opportunities available at Black Diamond Council.

CAMP: Unplug from your everyday demands and explore the great outdoors with a group of like-minded girls. Share your passion with other outdoor enthusiasts. The camping pathway is more than just pitching a tent; it's enjoying all that the outdoors has to offer. Get involved in a summer day camp program, a special weekend retreat or just a day trip to one of our camps for some outdoor fun.

EVENTS: Have high energy but limited availability?  Not enough room in your schedule to fit troop meetings? No problem. No troops in your area for you? No problem. Browse through the Pathfinder and choose your favorite topics, and unleash your potential.

TRAVEL: Progress along this pathway through small local trips in preparation for longer national or international ones. Leadership opportunities and cross cultural understanding are offered through council-sponsored and nationally sponsored trips along with troop travel. This pathway is available to any girl regardless of previous Girl Scouting involvement or economic resources. It will incorporate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience processes: girl-led, learning by doing, and cooperative learning. The pathway will follow the three leadership keys: Discover, Connect, and Take Action; while presenting girls with opportunities to prepare, plan, money-earn, and engage in travel opportunities and Take Action projects

TROOPS: Want to participate in exciting activities, throughout the school year, with a small group of girls? You'll share so much as your troop earn awards and badges, go on field trips, and learn from community leaders and experts on issues important to your community. Contact the Council office for more information on how to get involved with a troop in your area.

SERIES: Have a particular skill or talent? Looking for a chance to be with other girls who share your interest without a long-term commitment?  Contact the Council office to find out what series are offered in your area.
