Ski down the slopes at Winterplace, the southernmost ski resort in West Virginia. It is a popular attraction due to its proximity to Interstate 77 and is located just outside Beckley, WV. There’s winter fun available for everyone. The resort has 27 trails, 9 lifts, and has a terrain park. It is also a great place for beginners to learn how to ski. So, bring your family, friends, and troop members along with you.
The $80/person council ski package includes: Lift ticket (All areas open to close); ski rental equipment for the day; helmet; meal voucher (Choice of hot dog or slice of pizza, fries and a fountain drink); Group Lesson – Limited availability and open to participants that are at least 8 years old and up. Girl participants will receive a participation patch. This is a $159.00 value. Girl Scouts receive a 50% discount.
Snowboard Rentals: If you would rather have a snowboard rather than a downhill ski rental, the fee is an additional $10.00. If you decide to switch over equipment the day of the event, the cost will be $20 payable directly to Winterplace.
Note: Snow tubing options are available too for those 44 inches or taller. However, participants will need to register and pay for the two-hour time slots directly through Winterplace (www.winterplace.com/snowtubing)
