Ohio DNR Tree Promise Event

Give back to the environment with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) as ODNR provides opportunities for Girl Scouts to contribute to the Girl Scout Tree Promise and unlock the Girl Scout Tree Promise Patch! During this event Girls will receive an introduction from state foresters on the importance of tree planting to the environment and biodiversity and watch a demonstration on how to plant before taking planting into their own hands!
Families may participate in the same group as their Girl Scout. Each group will receive an age-appropriate introduction to the importance of tree planting to the environment and biodiversity before a demonstration on how to plant. The groups will be divided as follows:
- Daisies (Grades K-1), Brownies (Grades 2-3), and Juniors (Grades 4-5)
- Cadettes (Grades 6-8), Seniors (Grades 9-10), and Ambassadors (Grades 11-12)
Water, light snacks, information and fun swag will be provided by the Ohio Division of Natural Resourecs. Participants will recieve a fun patch for this event! See you there!
IMPORTANT: Wear shoes and clothes that you are prepared to get muddy. Bring shovels, work gloves, and dibble bars if you have them. Otherwise, tools will be provided.
