GIRL Fest is a high adventure encampment that is open to Girl Scouts registered as Girl Scout Juniors – Ambassadors for the current 2022-2023 year, along with their adult member chaperones that have a successful background check on file with their home council. GIRL Fest is limited to 500 people on a first come, first serve basis from Girl Scout Council’s all across the USA. You can attend GIRL Fest as a troop or group from various areas in your council.

The event price will include tent site rental, meals, 3 half-day guided trips/activities, 3 days of waterpark admittance, Girl Scout program activities and evening functions, as well as, miscellaneous event logistical support (e.g. First Aid and bus transportation from tent site up to waterpark area), etc.

The base price will be $495 per participant ($94 to Black Diamond Council + $401 to ACE Adventure Resort) if a deposit is made by the January 15th early bird deadline for those participating as a troop/group. The fee will be more if you upgrade ACE accommodations, etc. Starting January 16th, the price goes up an additional $40 to the normal Black Diamond Council fee of $134 for troop/group participants.

GIRL Fest has a two-part registration process to pay the fees for Troops/Groups: Part 1 – A $25 non-refundable deposit/person towards the $94 early bird fee is initially required to be paid to Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council to hold your spot. This is the part of the registration part that you are completing on the Black Diamond Council webstie.; Part 2 – A minimum of $75/person non-refundable deposit towards the $401 fee (more if you upgrade accommodations, etc.) is required by ACE Adventure Resort when they reach out to the troop/group leader to book your guided trips/activities, etc. You can pay toward the balance due for both Black Diamond Council and ACE balance due as often as you want. Final payments are due to both Black Diamond Council and ACE on April 30th.

Participants can choose among several land, water, and aerial opportunities offered by ACE Adventure Resort (e.g. mud obstacle course, zip lining, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, whitewater rafting, and aerial challenge course, etc.). An adult must accompany their girls on chosen activities/trips. A troop/group may sub-divide to go to different things according to interests, comfort level, abilities, and limitations, etc. More detailed GIRL Fest information is on Black Diamond Council’s website (www.bdgsc.org).

There is a 2023 GIRL Fest Facebook group set up to support the event. It has been renamed from the previous 2021 GIRL Fest group. That way, you can get an idea of things from the past event, as well as, announcements for the upcoming encampment. Informational webinars will also be set up leading up to the event. For more information, contact customercare@bdgsc.org.

Note 1: Troops/Groups are required to have the at least the minimum required adult to girl safety ratio specified in GSUSA’s Safety Activity Checkpoints:

With one extra registered, approved, adult volunteer for every additional: • 1–8 Girl Scout Juniors • 1–10 Girl Scout Cadettes • 1–12 Girl Scout Seniors • 1–12 Girl Scout Ambassadors

Note 2: All participants, girls and adults, will be required to have a physical exam and swim test before the event.

REMINDER: ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. After 04/30/23, no refunds will be issued from Black Diamond Council or ACE Adventure Resort for any additional fees that have been paid.
