Girl Scouts love to travel—from the field trips they take as Brownies to the global adventures they go on as teens. If you love exploring different places and cultures, then Girl Scouts is the place for you.
You can experience all that our country has to offer, whether you’re “blasting off” at Space Camp in Alabama, taking in a Broadway show in New York City, or visiting the birthplace of Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette Gordon Low, in Savannah, Georgia. And you can plan even bigger adventures around the world, traveling with other Girl Scouts who share your love of adventure.
Check out Girl Scout Destinations, the ultimate adventure program for girls ages 11 and older. With a ton of different trips to apply for every year—from surfing camp on the east coast and breathtaking hikes out west, to the crazy-cool wonder of new cultures abroad—there’s something amazing for everyone to experience.

Online Troop Trip Application
A Trip Application is to be submitted for any trip that is 200 miles round trip from the meeting site; or for camping on a non-council owned site; or for high adventure experiences that the troop has planned (e.g. horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, high ropes courses, whitewater rafting etc.)
A Trip Application is necessary to ensure that the activity is consistent with GSBDC’s Policies, Standards and Guidelines and with Girl Scout Program Standards described in Volunteer Essentials. Girl Scout insurance is in effect only for activities that meet these requirements. This form should be filled out at least four weeks prior to the trip or event. For international trips, the form must be completed 18 months to 2 years in advance.
Trip Applications for Extended Trips (3 sleepover nights or more) should be submitted 6 weeks in advance to allow for the purchase of additional insurance through Council. For Extended Trips, submit the Trip Application form.
- Access the online form here.
- Review Safety Activity Checkpoints, Volunteer Essentials and the Adult Coverage Chart for Girl Scout Trips & Events before completing this form.
