Thanks to Girl Scouts of the USA's national collaboration with Dove, copies of true YOU!, a guide especially for mothers and daughters can be downloaded for free. Why mothers and daughters? Because research shows that a mother's attitudes about health and body image influence her daughter's ides about her own sense of self and appearance. The 10 activities in the workbook are designed to raise self esteem by encouraging mothers and daughters to embrace their own inner and unique beauty. Talk About It! Family Fun for Girls Ages 8 - 11
Filled with games, activities, and quizzes, this book will help girls get to know their family - and themselves - better. Talk About It! Family Fun features themes from the movie "DREAMER Inspired By A True Story" starring Dakota Fanning and Kurt Russell. This book, like the movie, is all about family and how important it is to talk with them and share your fears, your likes and dislikes, and your dreams.
