In this kit, girls discover the world of planar (plane) geometry, symmetry and tessellations. Through quilting, girls take a hands-on approach to mathematics, spatial sense, culture, and history. Activities include a symmetry hunt, 2-D geometry with pattern blocks, and designing quilt patterns. The kit contains some of the materials necessary for the activities such as an iron, crayons, scissors, glue sticks, cardstocks, and pencils.
