Girl Scout Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards
For each of these awards - the highest achievements in Girl Scouting - you will have planned and executed a project that fulfills a need within ther community (whether local or global), creates change, and encompasses organizational, leadership, and networking skills.  Each year, the top ten Girl Scout Gold Award recipients in the nation are honored as Young Women of Distinction for their outstanding work, an honor two Girl Scouts from Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council have received.  For each of these three awards, they are the highlight of the Girl Scout experience.

The Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting, focuses on a 14- to 17-year-old Girl Scout's interests and personal journey through leadership skills, career explorations, self improvement, and service.

The Girl Scout Silver Award symbolizes an 11- to 14-year-old Girl Scout's accomplishments in Girl Scouting and community activities as she matures and works to better her life and the lives of others.

The Girl Scout Bronze Award recognizes that a Junior Girl Scout has gained the leadership and planning skills required to follow through with a project that makes a positive difference in her community.
