In addition to Brownie Try-Its, Junior Badges, and Cadette and Senior Interest Projects available through Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council has developed several special awards for girls to earn. The Council’s Own awards were designed based on the unique needs and interests of girls within Black Diamond Council. They are considered official awards and can therefore be worn on the front of a sash or vest.  All members of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. are welcome to earn Our Council's Own Awards (Not just leaders in Black Diamond Council).
