Purpose
The product sales programs are designed to help us help girls meet our program goals.  The activities direct the girls' to develop to their full potential by becoming strong, confident and resourceful citizens. By participating in council-sponsored product sale activities, girls will: 

  •  learn about goal-setting
  •  develop leadership and interpersonal skills
  •  become self-reliant
  •  provide customers with a great product
  •  enable the community to support Girl Scouts

                         ... all while having FUN! 

Money Talk
The revenue generated from the sales provides funding that remains with the troop/group and helps fund council costs, such as program and adult learning opportunities.  All monies generated from the sales remain within Girls Scouts of Black Diamond Council. 

Background
More than 300 Girl Scout councils in the United States participate in product sale programs. All councils may select their own approved supplier, and set their own sale dates and prices. GIrl Scouts of Black Diamond Council participate in two sales. The fall nut and candy sale runs through October and the cookie sale runs through January and February.  In addition to the revenue that troops/groups can generate to fund activities, each sale also includes incentives that are awarded through selling accomplishments.  For more information on the product sales programs, please click on the link below.
