The 2008 Annual Meeting and Recognition Luncheon will be April 11-12, 2008 at the Charleston Marriott Town Center, in Charleston, W.Va. This year's meeting will feature a celebration of Black Diamond's 34-year history.

Delegates from each service unit are elected to represent their area. These delegates vote on a variety of topics, including electing the board of directors.

For those who plan to arrive Friday evening, April 11, hotel accommodations are available at the Charleston Marriott Town Center located conveniently off Interstate 64 in downtown Charleston. Rooms are $89 per night for up to four people. Call 800.228.9290 before March 12, 2008, to get the discounted group rate.

Don't forget to visit the Girl Scout Shop while in Charleston. The Girl Scout Shop is located at 210 Hale Street (approximately six blocks from the Marriott). The Shop will be open Friday, April 11, from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 12, from 7:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for your shopping convenience. NOTE: The shop is open on the second Saturday o feach month (except January and July). The hours have been extended to allow Annual Meeting participants time to shop before or after the meeting.  If you prefer, you may place your order in advance. All orders faxed in by Wednesday, April 9, will be available for pick up at the shop during the above hours.
