Counselor-in-Training l Course
LOVE going to Girl Scout camp? Here’s your opportunity to share that passion and be a role model to younger Girl Scouts. Through the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) course, you'll develop skills to become an inspiring leader at camp. Learn to teach songs, lead activities and create a safe and inviting space for Girl Scouts to grow their love of camp, as well.
Finish your award requirements by completing a 50-hour camp pathway project. This involves shadowing adult camp staff, learning what it takes to plan and pull off a camp, and working with younger campers in a leadership role. CITs are needed for Service Unit Camps, the G.I.R.L. Fest and other council camps. This could lead to future summer camp employment during your college years and add a new layer of camp memories!
What Should Participants Wear?: Casual clothing
What about Food? Lunch is provided, but bring a snack to share for 6-10 people.
Note: Adults must be current Girl Scout members and have a successful background check on file with Black Diamond Council.
Is the date not convenient for you? Then gather up 5-6 of other interested Senior or Ambassador friends and we will set up the CIT course in your local community. Contact Customer Care at firstname.lastname@example.org.
