Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council, serving 61 counties in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia and Maryland will be taking orders and planning booth sales to make sure delicious Girl Scout cookies are available to all that crave the once-a-year favorites.

This year a new cookie has been added to the line-up of delectable desserts – Thank U Berry Munch are hearty treats made with real premium cranberries that provide a delightful tartness. Sweetened with creamy, white fudge chips and crispy rice delivers a satisfying cruch. Last year's addition the Dulce de Leche is a rich, sweet cookie with caramel chips and caramel stripes are available again this year as well. Cookies are available through May. Look for a Girl Scout in your area and place your order between January 8th and 25th. Girls will be holding booth sales between March and May. Each great-tasting box sells for $3.50.

In addition to some of the proceeds going toward the development of the local Girl Scout program, each participating troop benefits from the proceeds of the sale and uses them for a variety of troop activities. The Girl Scout Cookie program allows girls to implement business skills like product management, product distribution, budgeting and money management, and advertising and sales.
