Located in Downtown Charleston, the Council Service Center provides many of the behind-the-scenes support services needed for Girl Scouting, such as processing membership registration, event registration and training registrations.

Directions to the Charleston Service Center

From Huntington, Putnam County and points west, using Interstate 64 East

  • Use Exit 58C, Lee Street, get in right lane on exit ramp.

  • Turn right at light, head across bridge.

  • Go straight past the Civic Center and Charleston Town Center mall.

  • Move toward the right lane, passing Laidley Street, Summers Street and Capitol Street.

    Hale Street is the next right, at an awkward intersection. Turn here. You do have the right of way.

  • For convenient parking, use the Huntington Banks parking garage on the left.

  • The Service Center is 210, a few doors down from the parking garage.

From Madison, Logan, Williamson and points along U.S. 119 in southern coalfields

  • Where U.S. 119 meets Interstate 64, use I-64 East toward Beckley.
  • Use Exit 58C, Lee Street, get in right lane on exit ramp.
  • Turn right at light, head across bridge.
  • Go straight past the Civic Center and Charleston Town Center mall.
  • Move toward the right lane, passing Laidley Street, Summers Street and Capitol Street.
  • Hale Street is the next right, at an awkward intersection. Turn here. You do have the right of way.

  • The Black Diamond office is 210, a few doors down from the parking garage.
From Gauley Bridge, Oak Hill, Beckley, Bluefield and all points along the West Virginia Turnpike:
  • Use Exit 100 of I-77, Leon Sullivan Way (formerly Broad Street) and Capitol Street.
  • As ramp splits, head toward Leon Sullivan Way.
  • At the first light, turn right on to Washington Street. Get into the left lane.
  • At the next light, turn left onto Dickenson Street. (The US Post Office is on the corner.)
  • Go straight through the traffic light and proceed 1/2 block to the entrance to the Huntington Banks Parking Garage.  Park in the parking garage.
  • Upon exiting the parking garage elevator, use the door beside the elevator.
  • Turn left on Hale Street.
  • The Council Service Center is 210, a few doors down from the parking garage.

From Parkersburg, Ripley, Sissonville and points due north of Charleston:

  • Use Exit 100 of I-77, Leon Sullivan Way (formerly Broad Street) and Capitol Street.
  • As ramp splits, head toward Leon Sullivan Way.
  • At the first light, turn right on to Washington Street. Get into the left lane.
  • At the next light, turn left onto Dickenson Street. (The US Post Office is on the corner.)

From Elkview, Sutton, Clarksburg and all points along Interstate 79:
  • Where I-79 ends, continue onto I-77 South toward Beckley.
  • Stay on I-77 South as it meets Interstate 64.
  • Use Exit 100 of I-77, Leon Sullivan Way (formerly Broad Street) and Capitol Street.
  • As ramp splits, head toward Leon Sullivan Way.
  • At the first light, turn right on to Washington Street. Get into the left lane.

Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council serves more than 20,000 girls each year in 61 counties in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia and Maryland. The council has 13 regional offices for the convenience of volunteers and Girl Scout members.
