Training Requirements

Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council is committed to providing you with quality learning opportunities.  All new and returning leaders and assistant leaders MUST complete appropriate training within six months of appointment.  The information you receive in a training course or workshop helps you plan meetings and activities that follow Girl Scout Program requirements.

Where do I Start?

Step 1: Basic Orientation

Basic Orientation can be completed online or by taking a take home self-study. Click here to access the online version of Basic Orientation.

Step 2:  Basic Leadership

This is a classroom style learning opportunity that lasts 2.5 hours and prepares you to lead a troop/group in the GSBDC organization.

Step 3:  Appropriate Age Level Courses

All age level learning opportunities are in a classroom style setting and last 3 hours.  Look for Daisy, Brownie, Junior or Girls 11-17 learning opportunities in the Launch and Adult Learning Opportunity schedule.
